Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 9, 2026 · Applies to goi
The short version: goi is offline-first. Your cards, decks, review history, and stats live on your device. There are no accounts, no ads, no data sales, and no third-party tracking.
What goi stores
goi stores your vocabulary cards, decks, review history, and settings locally on your device. Backups you export are files under your control; you decide where they go. If you enable your operating system's device backup, your goi data may be included in it under your OS provider's terms.
What we collect
Nothing. goi has no accounts, no analytics, and no crash reporting, and it does not send your personal data anywhere. There is no server to send it to. If you email us for support, we receive what you send and use it only to reply.
Reminders
The optional daily reminder is scheduled on your device by iOS. There is no push server, nothing is sent to us, and turning it off in Settings removes it entirely.
Sync (future, opt-in)
A cloud sync feature is planned. It will be strictly opt-in, encrypted in transit, and deletable on request. This policy will be updated before sync launches, and the app will explain exactly what is stored server-side when you turn it on.
Children
goi is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the update will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
