Three: Spanish to English, Japanese to English, and English on its own for building vocabulary, where a card holds a word and its definition. Each has a dictionary bundled in the app, so lookup works with no network. A deck can pair any two languages; the ones above are the pairs a dictionary can answer for.

Your data lives on your device. Export a backup file anytime from Settings, then Data; it holds every deck, card, review and preference. Restoring merges rather than replaces, so bringing back an older backup never costs you newer work. Export before switching devices.

Yes; always. Compass has no server, so every feature works the same in airplane mode.

Export a CSV from your bank's website or app, then open it in Compass. It works out which columns hold the date, description, and amount; when it can't tell, you pick them before anything is imported, and duplicates of rows you already have are skipped. No export handy? Tap "Try a sample file" on the Home screen to see Compass with made-up transactions, then undo it from Import history in Settings.

Rules you create come first, then merchants you've filed before, then, on iPhones with Apple Intelligence, Apple's on-device model. Anything it isn't sure about waits in Review with a suggestion, and one tap files it. Choose "Always" and it never asks about that merchant again.

No. Files are parsed on your iPhone. Compass has no accounts and no server; there is nowhere to upload to.

By design. Bank linking means handing your credentials to an aggregator that sits between you and your money. A CSV gives Compass nothing but the file you chose to share.
